Pharmaceutical Portfolio Planning Manager

The Portfolio Planning Manager for in-line products is responsible for the strategic planning and management of our client's Multisource Product Line. This line of hospital injectables includes the therapeutic areas of IV additives, anti-inflammatories, and single and multiple entity trace elements. This individual works collaboratively with sales, marketing, contracts, analytics and logistics teams to coordinate and execute strategies that will maximize the profitability of the portfolio. 



-Initiate and analyze market research, monitoring competitive activity, while identifying 
customer/market needs 
-Establish pricing strategies with sales and contracting personnel while leading the cross-functional pricing committee to drive pricing decisions 
-Design effective strategies and appropriately prioritize activities for the portfolio products 
-Participate in commercial launch planning 
-Communicate product promotional needs and collaborate on the development of marketing and sales tools 
-Conduct detailed business analytics to support strategic decision making 
-Create annual sales budget for portfolio products while tracking its progress 
-Review entire portfolio’s performance, escalating key issues as well as presenting opportunities 
-Participate in demand planning process with analytics and sales teams to ensure the ability to reliably supply the market 
-Develop expertise in the Multisource division’s products, its customers and competitors 
-Assume cross-functional leadership to address Multisource portfolio needs 



-Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred along with courses and/or work experience in marketing and/or business management. 
-Minimum of 6 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical market strongly preferred. Familiarity with applicable regulatory and compliance guidelines governing the promotion of pharmaceuticals. Proactive leadership skills with the ability to manage high priority projects efficiently and 
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority 


-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate 
clearly and professionally 
-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and offer feasible 
-Provide examples of past success in strategic marketing and product management 
-Must be able to travel 20-25% of the time
